Be Very Afraid 7: MacICT 3D Virtual Worlds Blog

This was the year BVA went global. In partnership with Professor Stephen Heppell, Australia was proud to stage the first BVA held outside of the UK with Victoria Department of Education and Early Childhood Development hosting the event which featured 13 teams from around the country. Tagged Listen2Learners , BVA7 sent a strong message that students are authorities on their learning and adults need to listen.

Students from Sylvania High School who participated in our 3D Virtual Worlds Project : Constructing Sustainable Learning Spaces for the 21st Century was invited by the Victorian Department of Education (Listen2Learners) to share their learning with members of the educational community on 11 October, 2010 at Experimedia, State Library of Victoria. Professor Stephen Heppell was the patron for this special event and he shared his knowledge about the very best digital learning from around the world. Professor Heppell also visited students on this project at Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre, Macquarie University in October 2010.
